SHARON RECREATION BASKETBALL 2024-25 SEASON
Registration opens August 26th at 10:00am for all grades. Please register early! Early registration gives us the best information to make decisions regarding the schedule and league structure. *Schedule is subject to change. Grades and divisions may be combined and/or restructured if necessary based on registration numbers*
Evaluation Dates and Times will take place in mid-November. Evaluations are 1 night, mandatory for all players so all players can have their skills evaluated and put on a team.
Each individual evaluation night is posted on our website near the end of October.
There will be NO BASKETBALL: Saturdays: 12/28, 1/18, 2/15, 2/22
There will be NO BASKETBALL: Week of SCHOOL VACATION WEEKS
*VOLUNTEER COACHES/LEAGUE COORDINATORS NEEDED*!
(One Coordinator Needed per Grade/Division)
Responsibilities:
- Team Formation: Work closely with coaches and league officials to ensure teams are balanced and fair. Help assess skill levels and assist in the team selection process.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact for your assigned grade. Relay important information to parents, coaches, and players.
- Support: Assist in organizing and overseeing games, practices, and end of season skills-contests for your child’s grade.
- Conflict Resolution: Address any concerns or issues that may arise during the season, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.

We are also hiring gym/scoreboard monitors (age 21+) and basketball officials. If you are interested in working with the basketball program, please fill out an application or contact Frank Livera flivera@townofsharon.org
Registration will close firmly on Friday, November 1st at midnight. We ask that you please register as soon as possible.
Please note: Once evaluations take place, there are no refunds. Children are placed on a team and withdrawal can affect the proper balance of teams.
