Welcome to the registration page for the inaugural Sharon Chalk Art Festival! Join us at Sharon Town Hall on May 19, 2024, from 11am to 3pm for a day filled with creativity, fun, and community spirit. Below are the event details and registration information:
Event Details:
Description:The Sharon Chalk Art Festival is a celebration of creativity where participants of all ages can showcase their artistic talents by creating chalk masterpieces on the pavement. It's a fun-filled day for the whole community to enjoy!
Date: May 19, 2024
Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm (early setup for participants will be available the morning of)
Location: Sharon Town Hall Parking Lot, 90 South Main Street, Sharon MA
Open to: All Ages; Residents and Non-Residents of Sharon; Artists and Non-Artists.
Registration Information:
Registration: Open call for participants to sign up for spots through the website link above (subject to availability)
Cost: Free to participate.
Chalk: Chalk will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
Spaces: Spots in the parking lot will be reserved ahead of time. Participants can start creating their artwork on the morning of the event.
Groups: Groups of people can work together on their creations. One person can sign up on behalf of a group of people; put in names of additional people when signing up.
Age Requirement: All ages are welcome to join. Participants under 12 must have at least one adult accompanying them during the event.

Weather Contingency: Event is subject to cancelation due to rain or inclement weather. Please check our website or social media channels for updates.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded based on a voting process TBD.
Public Viewing: All members of the public are welcome to come and watch the artists at work, enjoy food from the food trucks, and have a picnic on the town hall lawn.
Recommended Things to Bring for Participants:
Sunblock, hat, and water
Knee pads or a garden kneeling pad
Masking tape for marking lines
Paint brushes and cups to mix powdered chalk with water for “painting
A spray bottle
A camp chair or blanket for taking breaks.
Snacks or money to visit food vendors.
Spaces: Each participating individual or group will be allocated a parking spot to serve as their designated space for creating art. These spots are approximately 20 feet long by 9 feet wide. In some cases, spaces may be divided in half to accommodate all participants or to avoid existing signage on the lot. Participants will have the opportunity to begin creating their artwork as early as 8am on the morning of the event.
