The Sharon Tennis Stars program is designed for children with disabilities to gain the opportunity to learn about and play tennis in a relaxed, supportive, friendly, and fun atmosphere! We use the Quick Start method. It's a chance for kids to learn real tennis and have real fun doing it. Tennis Quick Start follows almost every other youth sport and uses racquets, balls and courts that are sized right for kids so that they enjoy the game right from the start.

Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Spring 2025
This program is for girls in current grades 2nd-8th that want to learn about Field Hockey, whether brand new or experienced. We hope to gain interest in this sport since since Sharon will be joining up with other local towns, including Easton, Mansfield and Wrentham, to form a youth field hockey league in the Fall of 2025. Coach Liz Krasofski will be leading the clinics, with the help of several Sharon High School Varsity players. There will be opportunities for new players to learn the rules and basics of the game and for players with experience to improve their skills. Participants will learn the rules, basic skills, including stick and ball handling and enjoy some game play. Bring water, shin guards, a molded mouth guard and a field hockey stick. There will be extra sticks to borrow.

Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Spring 2025
This program is for girls in current grades 2nd-8th that want to learn about Field Hockey, whether brand new or experienced. We hope to gain interest in this sport since since Sharon will be joining up with other local towns, including Easton, Mansfield and Wrentham, to form a youth field hockey league in the Fall of 2025. Coach Liz Krasofski will be leading the clinics, with the help of several Sharon High School Varsity players. There will be opportunities for new players to learn the rules and basics of the game and for players with experience to improve their skills. Participants will learn the rules, basic skills, including stick and ball handling and enjoy some game play. Bring water, shin guards, a molded mouth guard and a field hockey stick. There will be extra sticks to borrow.

Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Youth Field Hockey Clinic - Spring 2025
This program is for girls in current grades 2nd-8th that want to learn about Field Hockey, whether brand new or experienced. We hope to gain interest in this sport since since Sharon will be joining up with other local towns, including Easton, Mansfield and Wrentham, to form a youth field hockey league in the Fall of 2025. Coach Liz Krasofski will be leading the clinics, with the help of several Sharon High School Varsity players. There will be opportunities for new players to learn the rules and basics of the game and for players with experience to improve their skills. Participants will learn the rules, basic skills, including stick and ball handling and enjoy some game play. Bring water, shin guards, a molded mouth guard and a field hockey stick. There will be extra sticks to borrow.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course - American Red Cross Lifeguard Training: June 2025
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification course prepares participants to become professional lifeguards. This course will teach students necessary rescue skills, surveillance techniques, CPR & First Aid, and administering an AED. Participants who successfully pass this course will earn an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (valid 2 years). This course will be a blended learning experience that will include classroom sessions, hands-on skills, and online work that must be completed at home. Participants should be prepared to move in and out of the water for skills practice, while also spending extended periods of time both in the water and in a classroom setting. Participants should bring lunch, water, sunscreen, towel, and a change of comfortable clothing for classroom sessions. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AT ALL CLASS SESSIONS TO PASS THE COURSE, NO EXCEPTIONS.Participants must be at least 15 years of age and successfully complete the course pre-requisites in order to take the course. Pre-requisites of the class include: 1. a continuous 300 yard swim demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used. 2. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. Candidates should place their hands under the armpits. 3. Complete a timed when within 1 minute and 40 seconds: starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive, feet-first or head-first, to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10 pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface in order to breathe (or to get a breath). In order to successfully pass this course, participants must successfully complete the pre-requisites of the course, demonstrate adequate rescue skills, pass the swim test, and pass the written exams with at least an 80% grade. Refunds will not be issued for participants who do not pass the course.
