Join On The Barre Dance Studio for a variety of dance programs for all ages. This section is for registration for a variety of youth dance programs. For kindergarten and pre-k dance programs, please find their separate page on our website. Please see the descriptions below for each program: Level 1 Ballet/Tap/Jazz: A 1-hour combo class of traditional dance styles for Grades 1 & 2. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, and jazz shoes required. Participants must adhere to proper dress code: leotard, tights, skirt optional, hair up, proper dance shoes. Level 2 Ballet/Tap/Jazz: A 1.25-hour combo class of traditional dance styles for Grades 3-5. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, and jazz shoes required. Participants must adhere to proper dress code: leotard, tights, skirt optional, hair up, proper dance shoes. Level 3+ Ballet/Tap/Jazz: A 1.5-hour combo class of traditional dance styles for Grades 6 and up. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, and jazz shoes required. Participants must adhere to proper dress code: leotard, tights, skirt optional, hair up, proper dance shoes. Level 1 Hip Hop: A fun 45-minute class learning the basics of hip-hop dance! For grades 1 & 2. Level 1 & 2 Acrobatics: A 1-hour acro class working on building strength, flexibility, and acro technique in a combined group of Level 1 & 2 dancers. For grades 1-5.Musical/Drama Theater: A 45 minute class learning about exploring different musical songs and story telling through dancing.

The Recreation Department is happy to be partnering with Miss Maura & Commonwealth Music Therapy to bring musical enjoyment to little ones in Sharon! Registration for the winter session is on a per-week/per-session basis.Waddlers & Young Toddlers (ages 7 months-18 months): This music class is tailored for those little ones ages 7 months - 18 months understanding and interactingwith the world around them. HANDS ON ELECTRONICS (Grades 4-7)                       Tinker with electronics while learning the basics of computer programming. We begin by experimenting with the fundamentals of electronics and circuitry, and step up to projects where our class of young makers will design their own interactive and programmable devices. Participants use the latest tools including Arduino (for building interactive devices) and Raspberry Pi (for learning about computers and coding) to experiment with LEDs, resistors, motors, and programming. Each class day gives participants the chance to design a hands-on project with the guidance of skilled Circuit Lab instructors. APP INVENTORS (Grades 4-7)        Want to know how the apps work on your phone or iPad? Or do you already have the next great app idea, and just need to know how to make it? In this no-experience-required course, we use MIT App Inventor software to make fun, creative apps for Android phones and tablets. We will also explore wireless communication by building custom Bluetooth hardware controllers and readouts for our apps. Participants will learn both the programming and design aspects of creating great apps, and have the opportunity to build apps of their own with the support of Circuit Lab instructors.CIRCUIT LAB FULL DAY: Want to participate in both sessions?  Register for care between 12:00pm-1:00pm.Instructed by Circuit Lab.

Join On The Barre Dance Studio for a variety of dance programs for all ages. This section is for registration for a variety of youth dance programs. Please see the descriptions below for each program: Level 1 Ballet/Tap/Jazz: A 1-hour combo class of traditional dance styles for Grades 1 & 2. Ballet shoes, tap shoes, and jazz shoes required. Your child has developed many social, emotional, linguistic, physical skills, and academic-now it’s time to enhance those skills through music and play Instructed by Commonwealth Music Therapy.
