Would you like to be a Massapoag Sports Coach someday? Become a CIT and you will get hands on training and develop a basic knowledge of the skills that it will take to someday become a team member. To ensure enough space for all, students may only register for a maximum of two sessions. CIT’s must follow behavioral guidelines for participation in the program. Sessions coincide with the Massapoag Sports Program. This does not guarantee future employment, however it does prepare students for the skills to work with children. All CIT applicants must meet with the Assistant Director.

Massapoag Sports Program is an excellent way for children to have a GREAT summer in a nurturing, safe and fun environment while fostering their love of sports! We are dedicated to maintain a cooperative atmosphere based on teamwork and values that will help boost your child’s self confidence and self esteem. Rain location will be posted online and/or Facebook.Paperwork including physical and immunizations must be submitted one week prior to the start of the program.

TRX- Total (Body) Resistance eXerciseTRX is a workout system that uses gravity and body weight to perform exercises to strengthen your core and increase muscular endurance, while providing a total body workout.You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself! We will be working on and off the straps.-Delivers a fast, effective total body workout using TRX straps.- Helps build a rock solid core.-Benefits people of ALL fitness levels. Due to equipment, there is a maximum of 10 students! Please bring your own mats and water.Develop Strength, Balance, Flexibility and Core Stability simultaneously.Class will be held on the Deborah Sampson Tennis court. Instructed by Michelle Fahy.

Join On The Barre Dance Studio at the Sharon Community Center for adult tap dance lessons on Wednesday evenings! Participants must have tap shoes for tap lessons at any level. Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is also encouraged during dance lessons.

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    MYC Racing - MYC Racing: Summer 2022
This class is designed for kids who have mastered the basics of boat-handling and are looking for a further challenge, we are offering a learn-to-race program. Offered in conjunction with the Massapoag Yacht Club, this class will introduce students to the rules used in the sailboat racing world wide. The program will begin with an on shore session that will teach the fundamental knowledge needed to get around the race course including; the shape of the course, what the starting bells mean, and basic right-of-way rules. The rest of the program will be on the water races where students will put their knowledge to the test. After each day of racing, there will be a cookout with directed discussions about the races with the emphasis on learning from mistakes to become a better and smarter sailor.Students need to have the basic boat-handling skills mastered: tack, gybe, and right the boat after flipping, STUDENTS MUST also need to be able to control their boats well enough to get around the buoys, which involves putting together all of the above skills. TWO PLUS years of sunfish or equivalent sailing experience required.

SUP Yoga is a great way to relax, improve your balance & strength and harmonize your body with nature. All classes begin on shore with an overview of of paddle basics - learn how to kneel, stand, basic stroke techniques, and what to do if you fall in (don't worry, it happens all the time!). Paddle out and drop an anchor for a combination of flowing movements and steady postures designed to awaken your core muscles, establish trust, train balance, strengthen the body, and calm the mind. Each class includes a time for play to explore shapes and postures before winding down with a floating savasana and then paddling back to shore. Program will launch and park at Veteran's Memorial Park Beach on Lake Massapoag. Each session is a stand-alone session and must be registered for individually.No previous yoga or paddle experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.Participants must be able to swim and over 16 years old!Mandatory equipment to bring: SUP board, paddle, PFD (personal floatation device - can be kept on board and is not required to be worn), and an anchor.
